Danny Gilliam

Danny Gilliam, age 72, of Dayton, passed away on November 15, 2024 in Vandalia, OH. He was born on August 25,1952 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to Leroy Gilliam and Eleanor Gilliam nee: Eleanor Honeycutt. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Chrissy Urick; daughter Brandon Gilliam; son Brian Gilliam; brother Jimmy Gilliam; and sisters: Barb Gilliam and Lana Short. 

Danny is survived by his daughter Macy Gilliam; granddaughter Sadie Schneble; siblings; Gary, Michael, and Ronnie Gilliam; and many loving nieces and nephews. Danny is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

Danny took great pride in being a Marine Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, singing, going to Florida beaches and trips to the casino (especially the Victory Cruise Casino in Port Canaveral, Florida). Though he did have a serious side, most knew him to be a jokester and all around fun loving man who enjoyed making others laugh. Danny will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Burial services including Military Honors from the U.S Marine Corps will be held on December 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM at The Dayton National Cemetery.
