Daniel Thomas Wildenhaus, born on July 28, 1953, left this world on August 31, 2025. Daniel was a beloved figure in his community, known for his work at Tuty's Inn, the cherished family restaurant, and at The Pine Club, where he made many friends over the years.

With a personality that endeared him to all who knew him, Daniel was described as a goofy and lovable individual. His kind-heartedness and generosity shone brightly in every interaction, making him a source of comfort and support for family and friends alike. A true animal lover, he opened his home and heart to many rescued pets throughout his life, including dogs, cats, and even a rooster, reflecting his compassion and empathy for all living creatures.

Daniel's legacy lives on through his devoted family. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Wildenhaus, and his cherished granddaughter, Sadie. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephew: Michelle Stewart (Jim), Tina Burton (Erik), David Rodgers (Jennifer), and Shaun Rodgers (Cory). Furthermore, he is remembered fondly by his grandnieces and grandnephews: Gabby (Angel) Fultz, Keith Rodgers, Shaun Rodgers, Jacob Stewart, Marissa Rodgers, Steven Rodgers, Anthony Burton, Hunter Thomas, and Sabel Rodgers.

Daniel was predeceased by his loving parents, Jerry and Ruth Wildenhaus, as well as his sister and brother-in-law, Toni and David Rodgers, who undoubtedly await him with open arms.

Daniel's family would like to give special recognition and thanks to the staff at The Laurels of Huber Heights, especially Cathy Hull, for the care and compassion they provided Daniel.

His infectious spirit and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed, and his memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.

A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, with a funeral service starting at 1:00pm. Following the service, Daniel will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
