Daniel R. Fleischman "Dan", 63, of Centerville, passed away August 28, 2018. He was born July 28, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio to Ray Fleischman and Dona (Olt) Fleischman.
Dan was a 1973 graduate of Vandalia Butler High School. He then went on to earn his Bachelors Degree from the University of Dayton, where he also played the trumpet in the marching band. Dan was a Civil Servant, starting his career at the Army Tank Plant in Lima, and continuing as a Contracting Officer at WPAFB for 32 years, retiring in 2010.
Dan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He played softball with his good friends on the Sierra Delta Softball team. He had a great mind for retaining detail and recalling old stories. Dan was a history buff, and a Cleveland Browns fan. He also was a "Chili Pepper Head".
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Fleischman. Dan is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mary K. (Eckert) Fleischman; mother, Dona (Olt) Fleischman; two sisters, Rebecca Fleischman, Julie (Dave) Hannan; nephew, Ian Hannan, and many other relatives and friends.
