Dale Gilbert Starnes

Dale Gilbert Starnes was born on June 12, 1935, in West Carrollton, Ohio. He passed away on May 14, 2026, in Beavercreek, Ohio. Dale lived a life marked by quiet strength and a thoughtful, steady nature. He was known for being set in his ways and enjoying his own time, yet he held a deep love for his family, especially his granddaughter, Jennifer, and her sons, Dylan and Dalton.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Maude Starnes; his wife Anna Starnes; two sisters, and one brother. 

He is survived by his son, Danny Starnes and daughter-in-law Audrey; his granddaughter, Jennifer and her husband, Matthew Trammell; and his great-grandsons, Dylan and Dalton Trammell. Also part of his extended family are his “adopted granddaughter” Katie Perkins and her husband Chris, along with their children. Dale was cared for with kindness by Kristin Grigsby, a special caregiver who meant a lot to him. He also leaves behind a dear niece, Cindy Hixson, and her daughter Kathleen Buchanan.

A graveside service will be held to honor Dale’s life on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM,  at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle 5 Points Rd., Centerville, Ohio.

Dale’s life was one of quiet dignity and enduring love for his family. His memory will live on through those who knew and loved him, and in the stories they share of his unique and steadfast character.
