Dale Robert Peckham

In Loving Memory of Dale Peckham…

Born in 1961, in Rochester New York, to Greig & Rose Peckham and grew up in Bellbrook, Ohio, with his brothers, Tom (deceased), Jeff & Dave. He spent his late teens and 20s in New York City, Harlem, the Hamptons & upstate NY, until a brief stint in New Mexico from 1994-1996, before returning to Ohio with Laura Dennings, his ex-wife & mother of his only daughter, Tatianna Peckham. He would live & build a farm there until 2015 before moving to the Red Woods of Northern California living and working with his New York friends until 2023. In 2023, he moved back to Ohio and lived in the family house of his brother, Jeff, until his death on September 28th, 2026, at the age of 65.

As most of you know, Dale was a dreamer and artist in his soul and heart. He was a restless Peter Pan and probably spent most of his days lost in the thought of Neverland.

He was an apprentice and big fan of the New York-based famous artist, Larry Rivers (1923-2003), an American painter, musician, filmmaker, and occasional actor. Dale spent most of the late 80s & early 90s with Larry, and they worked very closely alongside one another. Larry inspired Dale quite a bit and helped take off his early artistic career in the Hamptons. Those times and moments were very important to him, and he spoke of them often. Dale created metalwork up until 2021; and in 2022, he began mostly painting.

Dale was an artist, a dreamer, and had a heart of gold. In his life, he was a talented artist, an amazing carpenter, and a loving father to his only child, Tatianna.
