Dale Eugene Haubach

Dale Eugene Haubach, of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on January 22, 1950, in Troy, Ohio.

Dale will be remembered as a funny man and a true character, someone who brought his own spark to every room and left lasting impressions on the people who knew him. He attended Tecumseh High School and went on to spend many years working as a tool room machinist before retiring. Retirement did not mark the end of his working life, but the beginning of another chapter doing something he enjoyed deeply: restoring classic cars.

He found happiness in simple and familiar pleasures. Dale was an avid card player who enjoyed working on cars, watching old western movies, and following the Cincinnati Reds, even if their losses could test his patience. Above all else, he was someone who helped his family whenever they needed him. That devotion was at the heart of who he was. His proudest accomplishment was always his family—especially his children and grandchildren—which is why he fought his cancer so hard to live as long as he could for them. TWICE!!

He is survived by his daughters, Ginger (Alyssa Lynch) Spray and Joy (Shawn) Lewis; his sons, Richard (Marilyn) Haubach and Casey (Toni) Haubach; and his grandchildren, Breanna (Kyler) Karpstein, McKenzie Lewis, Emily Haubach, Evan Haubach, Karli Chamberlain, Conrad Haubach, Zachary Haubach, Zakye Mallow, Kameron Mallow, Kindylle Mallow, Kaydence Ater, Brantley Ater, and great-grandchild Zayden. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Dolores (Floyd) Simpson, Marvin (Cheryl) Haubach, Janice (Larry) Pruitt, and Jeanette (Kim) Martin, as well as his bonus son, Brandon Strouse.

Dale was preceded in death by his daughter, Deidra Mallow; his parents, Richard and Stella Haubach; and his brother, Richard Haubach Jr.

Those who loved Dale will remember his humor, his willingness to lend a hand, and the pride he took in the family that meant so much to him. His memory lives on in the many lives he touched and in the love shared by those who carry him with them.
