Dale E. Sanders

Dale E. Sanders, age 81, of Oakwood, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
He was a 1954 graduate of Wilber Wright High School. Dale retired from the United States Postal Service with 29 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Monongahela, USS Casa Grande and USS Great Sitkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert "Al" & Mary Sanders; and his sisters, June Fleck and Donna Zajovits.
Dale is survived by his sister, Joan Meyers, of Kettering; brother, Thurman Sanders, of Kettering; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11am. Burial will take place at David's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dale's memory to the Hospice of Miami Valley or the American Cancer Society.
