Pastor Dale Michael Bolen Sr., a devoted pastor and beloved family man, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on March 19, 2026. Born on June 22, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, Dale dedicated his life to the service of the Lord and the spiritual guidance of many through his ministry.
Dale’s journey was marked by his deep commitment to faith and education. He attended Rhema Bible Training College and earned his bachelor's degree before furthering his theological studies with a Master’s degree from Christian Life School of Theology. His extensive education provided a strong foundation for his impactful career as a pastor of seven churches. Throughout his life, Dale shepherded numerous congregations and was instrumental in pioneering six churches, leaving a lasting legacy in each community he touched.
Those who knew Dale remember him as a wonderful man who always placed the needs of others above his own. His unwavering love for his family and his dedication to their well-being were evident to all who met him. Dale’s life was a testament to faith, love, and selflessness.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 63 years, Linda Bolen; his daughter, Cynthia Bolen-Fite; his sons Ricky (Lyn) Bolen and the memory of his late son Dale Michael Bolen Jr.; late son-in-law John Fite and daughter-in-law Christina Bolen; grandchildren Anthony Bolen, Matthew Bolen, Preston Bolen, Savannah Bolen, Gabbiee Bolen, Alexander Rogers (and his wife Chelsea), Taylor Large (and her husband Cody), Timothy Jones, Rachel Tipton, and Ryan Jones; as well as numerous great-grandchildren including Kelsie, Hayden, Paisley, Lilly, Lydia, Dominic, Jessie, Jae, and Sorayah. He is also survived by his sister, Ruthie Grashel.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Charlotte Bolen; his mother-in-law, Mary Bartlett; brothers Gary and Skip Bolen; and sister Jean Copeland.
Throughout his life, Dale Bolen Sr. exemplified the highest virtues of faith and devotion. His legacy will endure through the churches he founded, the lives he influenced, and the profound love he shared with his family. Dale's passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who walk in the faith he so fervently embraced.
