Daisy Mowen

Daisy Jane (Lewis) Mowen, age 84 of Dayton, passed away November 2, 2017 at Kettering Hospital surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born December 27, 1932 in Jeffersonville, Ohio to the late Jess and Lida (Baker) Lewis. In addition to her parents, Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Mowen; son, Stephen Brown; granddaughter, Wendy Edgerley; and special friend of 30 years, Clarence "Dick" Mowen.

Daisy is survived by her children: Nancy (Greg) Hitchcock of Heath, Ohio, Lisa (Bill) Tipton of Dayton, Michael (Marcella) Brown of Newark, Ohio, L. Dean (Sherrie) Mowen of Union, Ohio, Kevin (Paula) Mowen of Dayton, Chris Mowen of Dayton and Dennis (Tommie) Mowen of Fairborn, Ohio; 28 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Daisy retired after 7 years of service from Heartland of Kettering. She enjoyed karaoking and listening to George Jones. Daisy loved spending time with her little dog, Zoe.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. To send a special message to the family, please click on Share Memories.
