Curtis "Curt" Warren Andrews, age 75, of Dayton, passed away on June 30, 2026. He was born on May 22, 1951, to Samuel and Dorothy Andrews.
Curtis was a man of deep faith, quiet strength, and steadfast devotion to the people he loved. His faith was an important part of his life, and he remained dedicated to his church, his congregation, and his prayer group. He found comfort in prayer and often ended his evenings praying with a close friend from his Michigan prayer group.
Curtis also had a lifelong love of sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee sports teams. He enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams and sharing his passion for athletics with family and friends. He also looked forward to his annual trips to Northern Michigan, where he found joy in nature, peace in familiar places, and meaningful time with loved ones.
Above all, Curtis will be remembered for his faith, kindness, loyalty, and love for his family. His life reflected devotion, humility, and a steady love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Curtis is survived by his son, Derek Andrews, and Derek's fiancé, Katherine Robertson; his brother, David Andrews, and David's wife, Jean Andrews; his nephew, Christopher Andrews, and Christopher's fiancé, Katie Woods; and other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Melissa Sue Andrews, and his parents, Samuel and Dorothy Andrews.
Curtis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. A service will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
