Craig House, born on November 7, 1958, passed away on January 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, laughter, and countless memories cherished by those who knew him. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Craig demonstrated dedication and service to his country before embarking on a fulfilling career as a General Contractor, during which he owned multiple businesses. Later in life, he found a place at AT&T, where he continued to share his expertise and connect with others.
Craig was a man of many layers and delightful quirks. Often described as “Hippy-Santa,” he embraced his individuality, earning the nickname “Whitie” in his younger years. Known for his goofy spirit and infectious laughter, Craig brought joy to those around him, often surprising new acquaintances with his warm sense of humor once they got to know him. His personality shined brightest when he was surrounded by his beloved grandchildren, Max and Knox Day. Their laughter and energy fueled his love for life as he devoted much time to creating beautiful moments with them.
In addition to his playful nature, Craig was an avid gardener who found joy in nurturing "flowers" and tended to magnificent jade plants that stood as symbols of his love for growth and beauty. His steadfastness and stubborn attitude were balanced by a disposition that encouraged those around him to open up and share in the stories of life, something he had in abundance.
Craig is survived by his daughters, Morgan (Troy) Day and Paige (Daniel) Bays, who will carry forward his stories and spirit. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Max and Knox Day, who brought him immeasurable joy. He is also remembered fondly by his brother, Kevin (Wendy) House, along with his nieces, Annissa House and Shannon (Steve) Heil, and a number of great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Terri House, whose memory lives brightly in the hearts of those who knew them as a couple, as well as his parents, Sharon and Franklin House, who shaped the man he became.
Craig House’s journey may have come to an end, but the laughter he spread, the love he shared, and the stories he told will remain alive in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a rich tapestry of life experiences that will be cherished and remembered fondly for years to come.
Family and friends are welcome to gather from 4:00pm to 5:00pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Bethel Community Church of the Nazarene, 4400 Osborn Rd., in Medway, Ohio, where Craig's service will begin at 5:00pm. Craig and Terri will be laid to rest together at Willow View Cemetery at a later date.
