Covy H. Chappell, age 88 of Huber Heights, reunited with his wife, Nellie Marie on April 7, 2017. He was born April 6, 1929 in Chappell, KY to the late John Chappell and Dorcas Chappell-Farmer. In addition to his wife and parents, Covy was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Farmer and sister, Beulah Wilson.

He is survived by his son, Ronald (Elaine) Chappell of Celina, OH; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson; brothers, John A. Farmer and Carl "Spike" Farmer; sister, Loretta Wilson; brother, Derek Farmer and numerous extended family and friends.

Covy served in the U.S. Army from August 1945 to March 1950. He worked and retired from Delco Moraine after over 30 years of service. Following retirement, he worked part time for Fidelity Prescriptions from 1986 to 2017. Covy was a member of the Brantwood Baptist Church for over 25 years.

Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 7 PM.

Additional services and burial will be held in McKee, KY.
