Corrine Ann Beam, age 90 of Centerville, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024. She was born March 24, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Morris and Mayno Fergus. She graduated from Ohio State University where she double majored in piano and string bass. Corrine worked for Iron Gate as a Realtor for many years. She was a great bridge player. She met her husband Orville playing bridge and together they were in the American Contract Bridge League where they attended the world tournament and won first place twice. Corrine had a life long love of Music, especially classical music. She was an accomplished musician and, for a time, played string bass in the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Kettering. Corrine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Robert James Beam.
Corrine is survived by her husband, Orville; Sons, Mark (Jan) Johnson, Gregg (Tracie) Johnson, Charles John (Monica) Beam, and Joseph Douglas (Bettina) Beam; Daughters, Melanie (Randy) Johnson, and Diana Marie (Nick) Johnson; Granddaughters, Emily Johnson, and Dakota Johnson; and Grandsons, Robert Gabe Johnson, Ben Johnson, Eddie George Johnson, Jessie Johnson, and Milo Johnson; 10 Step-Grandkids; and by numerous other family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Centerville (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until the time of the service at 8:00 pm. Corrine will be interred at Dayton National Cemetery, Friday, September 13th, 2024, at 10:00 am.
