Cornel Anthony Kovach, age 94, of Dayton, OH passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 25, 2018.
Cornel was born July 19, 1923 in South Bend, IN to the late Anthony J. & Gizella M. (Szabo) Kovach.
Cornel proudly flew B-17s in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Anita R. Kovach; son, John Kovach; brother, Elmer Kovach; and sister, Goldie Gulyas.
Cornel is survived by his son, Philip Kovach; two step-daughters, June Boger and Jackie Goetz; and eight grandchildren: Amanda, Phil Jr., Anthony, Henry, Francesca, Christiana, Sean, and Nicholas; and two great-grandchildren, Anya and Harper.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 9-10am at David's Cemetery, Community Mausoleum Chapel, Kettering, OH. The service will begin at 10am and a reception will follow.
