Colette L. Kaye

Colette L. Kaye, born on February 28, 1962, in Clark County, Ohio, passed away on March 12, 2026, in Medway, Ohio. Her departure leaves a profound sense of loss among all who were fortunate enough to know her. Colette was a beacon of kindness and warmth, a truly caring soul who devoted herself wholeheartedly to the people around her. Always thoughtful and attentive, she had a remarkable ability to anticipate the needs of others, embodying compassion in every action.

Colette’s journey through life was shaped by her education at Tecumseh High School and later at Wright State University, where she expanded her horizons and nurtured her love for learning. She carried this foundation with her in every endeavor she embraced.

Beyond her nurturing nature, Colette found joy and passion as a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State University Buckeyes. Her spirited support for her favorite teams mirrored the enthusiasm and dedication she showed in all aspects of her life.

Her family ties, though irrevocably altered by her passing, remain a testament to the love she inspired. Colette was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Walter and Kay Kaye, and her dear sisters, Karen Kaye and Marcella Kaye. She leaves behind her fiancé, Michael Lakes, who shared her hopes and dreams, her cherished aunts Shirley Winger and Marian Patinski (Rob), cousins Mark and John, and numerous other family members and loved ones who were blessed by her presence.

A memorial service to honor Colette’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Church of God, located at 6649 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights, Ohio 45424. Here, friends and family will gather to celebrate her spirit and the many ways she touched their lives.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Medway Cemetery, 11143 Lower Valley Pike, Medway, Ohio 45341, providing a solemn moment for final farewells.

Colette will be deeply missed, remembered always for her unwavering care, her generous heart, and the light she brought into the lives of those who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and thoughtfulness will continue to inspire and comfort those she leaves behind.
