Cody James Snedigar, affectionately known by his nieces and nephews as "Coco," passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2026, in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Born on October 24, 1995, Cody's life was a vibrant one that was filled with joy, kindness, and an unwavering spirit that sought to make everyone smile. To say he was loved would be a profound understatement; he was cherished by family, friends, and colleagues alike—a radiant soul whose warmth touched every heart he encountered.
Cody’s journey began in Dayton, Ohio, where he was born and raised, eventually graduating from Northridge High School’s Class of 2012. From those early days, it was clear he carried a spark—an infectious sense of fun and a caring nature that was both rare and genuine. Known for his unyielding hard work and his readiness to give selflessly, he was the kind of person who would offer the shirt off his back without hesitation. His generous heart and lovable personality made him a beacon in every room.
In his professional life, Cody found a second family at Amazon. There, surrounded by colleagues who admired him deeply, he was recognized not just for his dedication but for the kindness he freely dispensed. His work family at Amazon held him in the highest regard, a testament to the impact he had beyond the confines of his job.
Cody’s interests reflected the many layers of his vibrant soul. He was passionate about music and gaming, indulged in the thrill of all things horror-related, and carried an unwavering loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers—a fandom that brought him endless joy. These were the things that made Cody uniquely himself, the colors on the canvas of his life.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Brenda Snedigar, and his cherished grandmother, Joyce Loftis. His heart remains cherished in the company of his sisters and brother—Amanda Snedigar and Cowgill, Brandon and Cassandra Snedigar—who stand as pillars of his enduring legacy. Cody’s joy extended deeply into the lives of his nieces and nephews: John Ross, Nataleigha Noble, Addalynn Snedigar, Jayden Debusk, Brandyn Snedigar, Isaac Cowgill, Landen Cowgill, Ryder Snedigar, Shelby Cowgill, Nevaeh Snedigar, and Mackenzie Nichols; and his uncle, Johnnie Loftis, Jr. Many other family members and friends also reflect the wide embrace of his affection.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnnie Loftis, Sr.
To celebrate Cody's life is to remember joy in its purest form—the laughter he sparked, the kindness he offered without measure, and the boundless love he so freely gave.
