Clyde G."Jerry" Lankford

Clyde G. "Jerry" Lankford, 79, of Kettering, passed away February 12, 2017. Clyde was born in Long Prairie Township, Missouri on October 7, 1937 to the late Clyde and Annie Lankford. Clyde retired from the United States Air Force after 24 years of service and proudly served in the Vietnam War. In his free time he enjoyed playing golf, reading, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Gail Ann Lankford; first wife, Barbara Ann; brothers, Bill, Leroy, John; and sister, Wanda.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Syndi) Scott Lankford, Gerald Richard Lankford, Rick (Debbie) Wolfe, Mike (Michele) Williams; daughter, Cathy (George) Perkins; grandchildren, Bryce Lankford, Cameron Lankford, Jordan Lankford, Chase Lankford, Hunter Lankford, Billy (Amanda) Wolfe, Cassie (Tyler) Jenks, David Beaty; great grandchildren, Bennett, Beckham Skyler, Breanna; and several other relatives and special friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 6:00 pm.
