Clifford Alan Smith

Clifford Alan Smith Sr. "Smitty", age 69, passed away on March 13, 2016 in Dayton, Ohio. He was born to the late John and Mary Smith on March 15, 1946 in Lima, Ohio. Alan served in the United States Navy for four years during the Vietnam War Era. He was a black belt in karate and later retired from General Motors as a machine repairman. Alan is survived by his children Brian Smith, Clifford Alan (Michelle) Smith Jr., Cindy Collins, Deanna (Aaron Winzinek) Smith; step children Jamey Dalton and Nancy "Boo" Dalton; grandchildren Christy, Nathan, Jaxson; step-grandchildren Ashley, Walker and Natalie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy "Jeanie" and his parents. A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 9:30am-10:30am with a funeral service to follow at 10:30am. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton.
