Clayton Colwell
July 21, 1952 — February 14, 2017
Clayton "Junior" Colwell, 64, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Oneida, KY to Clayton and Daisy (Bishop) Colwell.
Junior loved spending time with his friends and family and had a great sense of humor. He was a very giving man and was loving and supporting of his family. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Junior is survived by his daughter, Tracey (Shawn) Screetch and daughters Lauren, Kiara and Kaylin; a son Clayton Lloyd (Tabatha) Brewer and his children Dakoda and Marylynn; two great grandchildren; three sisters Mayme (Jim) Hypes, Gladys Barnes and Nellie (Dwight) Pugh; one brother Phill Colwell; two brother in laws Earl Ledbetter and Jimmy Hackney; and numerous, special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters Sarah Ledbetter, Betty Hackney and Reva Brown; and one brother John Colwell.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH with Pastor Andrew Brewster officiating. A visitation will precede the service from 12:30-1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Gardens.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
