Claudia Marie Bonham, a vibrant and loving soul, was born on May 7, 1960, in Northville, Michigan. She left this world on December 11, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering support. Claudia was known for her feisty spirit and dedication to her family and friends.
She graduated from Meadowdale High School in Trotwood, Ohio, and embarked on a career at Cintas, where she was a dedicated employee for many years. Claudia's strong will and compassionate nature made her not only a respected worker but a cherished colleague who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Those who knew Claudia would describe her as someone who was always there for anyone in need. She may not have always agreed with you, but her heart was open and her willingness to help was boundless. Claudia was a woman who never left a conversation without expressing her love; "I love you" was something she never hesitated to share.
Claudia had a remarkable affinity for nature and her countless plants reflected her nurturing spirit. She possessed a green thumb that breathed life into her surroundings and her meals were crafted with love as she was an amazing cook. Her warmth extended beyond her immediate family as she took many under her wing and became a mother figure to those who needed one.
Claudia was actively involved in her community as a member of AmVets Post #24, where she made lasting friendships and memories. She touched the lives of so many with her loving personality and strong convictions.
Claudia is survived by her devoted husband, Lowell Bonham, and her beloved children: Ruth Ann Crank (Chuck Lockhart), Jessica Marcum (Paul Houston), Jennifer Trammell, Robert Cronkhite, and Stephanie Stepp (Zac). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Marissa, Devon, Ceara, Jason, Travis, Patience, Emily, Nathan, Charles, Chyann, Evelyn; and her great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Nariah, Nyilah, Scarlett, and one on the way. Claudia also leaves behind her sister, Joanne Nowry, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish the memories they created together.
Claudia is reunited in spirit with her loving parents, Claude and Ruth Johnson, her daughter Judith Cronkhite, her brother Clay Johnson, and her sister Paula Brown. While she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to thrive in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family will hold a celebration of life service at a later date.
