Clarence Gene Hamman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on April 4, 1958, in Kettering, Ohio, Clarence dedicated 35 years of his life to his career as a local truck driver, a role that showcased his strong work ethic and dedication.
Clarence’s spirit was characterized by his strong-willed nature and kind heart. He was known for being very opinionated, yet his generosity and willingness to help others were what truly endeared him to friends and family. He reveled in socializing and formed lasting connections, making many cherished memories along the way.
A highlight of Clarence's life was his immense love for Christmas. He took great joy in decorating both the inside and outside of his home during the festive season, bringing warmth and cheer to all who visited. His passion for home improvements kept him engaged, as he enjoyed transforming his living space into a welcoming sanctuary.
Above all, Clarence was a devoted husband to his wife of 48 years, ElizaBeth. Together, they built a loving family that includes their three children: Jesse (Miranda) Hamman, Lucas (Heather) Hamman, and Garrett Hamman. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Austin (Caitlin) Hamman, Wyatt (Emily) Hamman, Ella Hamman, Sienna Covey, Cohen Covey, and Dustyn Hamman, along with his great-grandchildren, Korra Hamman and Owen Carmichael, who brought him endless joy.
Clarence was also a cherished sibling, leaving behind brothers and sisters Jerry (Sheila) Hamman, Barb (Jeff) Clifton, and Joyce (Art) Brannon, as well as sister-in-laws MarySue (Russ) Cromwell, Joanie Huston, and Carol Kibler. He shared a profound bond with his best friend, Denny Gudorf, and had many close cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will fondly remember him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Elaine Hamman, and his siblings Frank Hamman, Lillian Trapp, Roger Hamman, and Phillip Hamman.
Clarence will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to have known him. His proudest accomplishment, his role as a great dad, serves as a testament to the deep love and commitment he had for his family.
