Clara was born on September 26, 1930, in Dayton, Ohio, the second oldest of six children born to Clarence and Stella (Harrison) Gray. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James W. Kruetzman; her daughter, Lea M. Cunningham; and her grandson, Christopher A. Hopkins. She was also preceded in death by four siblings: Hazel, Bernice, Carol, and Walter.

Clara is survived by her sister, Garnet L. Grabe; her children, Deborah Shaw (James), Terry Daniels, and Frank Riley; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Clara was a long-time employee of Dayton Press, where she was known for helping foster connections among retirees and organizing company picnics. Outside of work, Clara had a deep passion for genealogy. She took great pride in researching and preserving the genealogy for many friends and family.

Graveside services will be held at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens, located at 1639 E. Lytle Five-Points Road, Centerville, Ohio, on January 16, 2026 at 11:00 am.
