Ciara Nicole Greenwood, passed away on October 17, 2015, in Dayton, Ohio. She was born on November 19, 1997, in Wiesbaden, Germany to Gilbert Wright, Jr. and Karen Greenwood. She was a gifted and talented military dependent who was stationed in Idaho, Alaska, and Ohio. She was a student at Beavercreek High School. She attended Ferguson Middle School where she was a member of the Beavercreek Juniorettes Dance Team and a member of the Ferguson Middle School Guy's and Dolls show choir. She was on the track team and cheerleader team. She made the gymnastics team at Gymquest Academy at age 8. Her hobbies were baking, gardening, singing, dancing, shopping, writing, reading, and listening to music. She loved plants and animals. She had a passion for learning French and chemistry. She was a member of Movers and Shakers Drill Team at the age of 6 in Alaska. She studied ballet at the age of 4 years old. Ciara had an infectious personality and made friends with all walks of life. She volunteered with the Air Force Sergeant's Association to raise money for scholarships. She was well liked and truly cared for everyone. She is survived by her parents, siblings, friends and acquaintances. She will be truly missed. A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 9am-11am with a funeral service to follow at 11am. Burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery. Her mother set up the "Ciara N. Greenwood Charitable Fund" through Wright Patterson Credit Union, Call (937) 912-7000 to make a donation. Monies will be used for a scholarship fund for a high school senior towards a Biochemistry major in college.
