Christopher Gargiulo entered into glory to be with his Savior on August 20, 2026, from Beavercreek, Ohio.
Christopher, born with Down Syndrome, lived almost all of his 66 wonderful years with his mother, Elizabeth Bridwell. He was born in Schenectady, New York, on July 3, 1960, and grew up there with his sister, Lisa (Gargiulo) Hamilton, and brother, Scott Williams. In the late 1970’s, they moved to Hudson, Florida, where Chris lived most of his adult days, enjoying a vibrant social life with family, church, and friends for almost 50 years while working for McDonald’s for 32. His last move was to Beavercreek, Ohio, in 2024, to live with Lisa and enjoy the constant attention of a brother-in-law, six nephews and nieces, eleven grand-nieces and -nephews, Scott’s family nearby, and a multitude of new church friends. This spring, he moved into The Patterson of Beavercreek to finish the course his Lord and Savior had decreed for him.
Chris will be remembered for introducing a new language to those who loved him, including phrases such as “Half enough!”, “I say whoa!’, and “You know everything of me”. Chris danced engagingly to “New York, New York”, randomly celebrated his birthday, and interacted kindly and lovingly with all he knew.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth; sister, Lisa; brother, Scott; and a multitude of those he blessed by living a life that pointed others to Christ just by Chris being Chris.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 12:00pm-1:00pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, with Funeral Services to begin at 1:00pm, officiated by Jason Wing. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek.
