Christian Neil Zidaroff, a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2026, in Waynesville, Ohio. Born on November 6, 1996, in Dayton, OH, Christian’s life, though tragically brief, was marked by a radiant spirit and a profound love for the outdoors and his community.

Christian graduated from Waynesville High School in 2015, where he distinguished himself not only academically but also athletically. He proudly received the school records for the 800m and 4x400 relay, an achievement that echoes his dedication and relentless spirit. His participation in the state track meet was among his proudest moments, a testament to his perseverance and passion for running.

Following high school, Christian served in the United States Army, exemplifying his commitment to his country and his character of loyalty and courage. After his military service, he lovingly embraced career opportunities as a landscaper and at Miami Valley Gaming, where his warmth and work ethic endeared him to colleagues and friends alike.

Christian cherished the natural world and was happiest when immersed in the beauty of Caesar's Creek State Park, where he found solace and adventure in equal measure. He also had a deep love for baseball and football, finding joy in the rhythms and camaraderie of the games.

In the final months of his life, Christian was blessed to spend precious time surrounded by his loved ones, reconnecting with family and creating lasting memories filled with love and shared strength. His presence was a light to all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Crystal and Roger Zidaroff; his caring sister, Megan (Alex Dyer) Zidaroff; his grandparents, Roger and Tessie Zidaroff and Jerry Tolson; aunts and uncles Tammy Haney, Michael (Tara) Zidaroff, Stephanie (Hugh) Alexander, and Jackie Howard; and cousins Bryan, Ray, Christy, Ethan P., Haley, Brady, Carrie, Katie, Andrew, Kelsey, Jena, Austin, and Ethan H. He is also remembered fondly by countless friends, loved ones, and members of his extended family.

Christian’s grandfather, Ray Haney, and uncle, Marion Haney, preceded him in death, and their memories remain cherished by all who knew them.

A visitation to honor Christian’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed immediately by a funeral service at 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, located at 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate the vibrant life Christian lived and to find comfort in shared remembrance.

Christian Neil Zidaroff’s journey, though cut short, touched many lives deeply. His vitality, kindness, and the quiet strength he displayed will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
