Chester L. Price

Chester L. Price, age 80 of Beavercreek, OH passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. He was born October 16, 1938 in Charleston, West Virginia to Denny and Maggie (Harless) Price. Chester married Mary Mellotte on July 31, 1974 in Riverside, OH.

Chester worked for Schriber Roofing in Dayton for 33 years, retiring in November 2000. He was an avid golfer, loved to bowl and was the family photographer. Chester was meticulous in caring for his yard, his motorcycle and his "Work Truck". He was a big sports fan and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals. Chester enjoyed attending his grandkids various sporting events where he could be heard cheering them on. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Chester is survived by his wife of 44 years Mary; a son, Donald L. (Tracy) Price; a daughter, Debbie (Rick) Lucas; two step daughters, Tammy Wright and Teresa (Roger) Walker; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and other numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Judy Murphy and Sue Smith; two brothers, Herman Fernatt and Denny Price; and an infant son, Jimmy Dean Price.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Chester requested his body be cremated after the services.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are requested to Ohio's Hospice-Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
