Cheryl Lynn Gillespie Stange

Cheryl Lynn Gillespie Stange, age 68 of Dayton, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born July 28, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her father, Daryl Gillespie.

Cheryl is survived by her mother, Beverly Gillespie; brother, Mark (Leszlie) Gillespie; sister, Michelle (Ron) Dunbar; daughter, Brittany McGrath-Glass; son, David Stange; grandchildren, Rebecca Glass, Kai Engle; great-granddaughter, Namiah Glass. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Cheryl graduated from Stebbins High School in 1976. She was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas to visit her family. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she especially loved spoiling the children in her life with gifts and affection.

Cheryl was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose love and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She enjoyed watching soap operas, Hallmark movies, and Disney princess films, with Cinderella holding a special place in her heart. Though she never considered herself a queen, she proudly embraced being a princess. Her joyful spirit, loving nature, and cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
