Cheryl A. Coterel

Cheryl A. Coterel, age 70 of Dayton, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 29, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Black; mother, Helen Black; siblings, Johnny "Woody" Black, Ronald Black, Sheila Vagedes, Barbara Grey; and her beloved granddaughter, Brandy Adkins.

Cheryl is survived by her loving daughter, Carrie (Dan) Adkins; grandson, Bradley Adkins; great-grandson, Logan Jennings; siblings, Brenda (Eddie) Brown, Becky (Doug) Brooks, Mike Black, and Connie Black. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

She had a kind heart and was very generous, especially hosting family gatherings. Cheryl enjoyed taking vacations with her family to the beach and attending church gatherings. 

The family hopes those who would like to honor her will find a quiet time to remember who she was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together. In lieu of a public funeral service, individual families are encouraged to enjoy a game of BINGO to honor her.
