Charlotte Martin Trego

Charlotte Martin Trego, born on July 16, 1928, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 5, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. Throughout her 98 years, Charlotte distinguished herself as a unique individual whose strong will and loving spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Charlotte was the daughter of John Martin Sr. and Helen Martin, both of whom preceded her in death. She is also preceded by her brother, John Martin Jr. and grandson, Jacob Trego. In her personal life, Charlotte formed a loving partnership with her late husband, Jack. Together they built a family defined by affection, resilience, and steadfast support.

She is survived by her son, Steve (Suzanne Wehrly) Trego; her daughter, Suzanne (Greg) Maynard; three grandchildren: Sydney (Joe Riffle) Trego, Shane (Libby Miller) Vitateau and Ethan Wehrly, 6 great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Throughout nearly a century of life, Charlotte touched all those who knew her with her passionate and loving nature. Her family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her, will forever treasure the moments, lessons, and love she shared.

At this time, the family honors the memory of Charlotte Martin Trego and celebrates the legacy she leaves behind—a life defined by strength, love, and an unmistakable uniqueness.
