Charles T. Williams, a devoted father, dedicated serviceman, and passionate cyclist, passed away on April 2, 2026, in Beavercreek, Ohio. Born on August 19, 1935, in Jenkins, Kentucky, Charles led a life marked by unwavering commitment to those he loved and served with distinction.
Charles served his country proudly in the United States Air Force from 1953 until his retirement in 1974. During his two decades of service, he participated in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War, honoring his nation with steadfast courage and dedication. Following his military career, Charles transitioned to civilian life with equal determination, working for 24 years as an Insurance Adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company. His commitment to his work mirrored the strength and integrity that defined his character.
Perhaps most profoundly, Charles devoted his life to the care of his beloved son, Jeffrey Williams. For 63 years, he was Jeffrey's devoted caretaker, a role recognized and deeply respected by emergency service personnel in Beavercreek. His compassion, kindness, and unyielding strength in this lifelong responsibility left a lasting impact on those who witnessed his tireless devotion.
Charles was known as a man of complex layers—kind and compassionate yet strong and at times complicated. He was honest to a fault, a trait that earned him deep respect from family and friends alike. His love for cycling was a defining passion; an avid cyclist, Charles bicycled across the United States and took his adventurous spirit to Europe, where he toured various landscapes by bike, cultivating memories of freedom and exploration throughout his life.
As the last surviving member among fourteen siblings, Charles witnessed a family legacy that began with his parents, Madison and Alta Williams. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Makiko Williams; his children, Kathy Baur and Jeffrey Williams; and thirteen siblings.
Charles is survived by his loving daughter, Cindy (Paul) Miller; and his son-in-law, Don Baur; along with numerous extended family members and friends who cherish his memory. His life’s journey—from humble beginnings in Kentucky to meaningful service and heartfelt devotion—will be remembered with profound respect and admiration.
Charles T. Williams' legacy is one of selfless care, patriotic service, and passionate pursuit of life’s adventures. He leaves behind a story of strength fused with compassion, a combination that touched many and will continue to inspire those who knew him.

"Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die."
