Charles Dwayne Setty, known to all as Dwayne, a cherished family man and dedicated member of the community, passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on November 3, 1965, Dwayne built a life grounded in love, family, and hard work.
As the owner of his own trucking business, he exemplified the values of determination and resilience, traits that he carried over into his personal life. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Debby "Lue" Setty, for an impressive 40 years. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and commitment.
Dwayne took immense pride in his role as a father to his son, Charlie Setty (Kirsten), and his daughter, Casey Craig (Ryan). He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren: C.J., Shyann, Levi, and Annabelle. Their laughter and joy brought light to his life, and he found great fulfillment in watching them grow.
An avid outdoorsman, Dwayne found solace in nature through hunting and fishing, often sharing the sentiment that "what happens at deer camp, stays in deer camp." He embraced adventure in all forms, having played softball and enjoyed bowling during his younger years. These activities not only showcased his spirited personality but also reflected his love for camaraderie and connection.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his son, Jacob "Bubba," his parents, Charles and Lulubelle Setty, his grandmother, Hazel Setty, and his father-in-law, Franklin Collins. Each of these loss leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lue, his children, and his grandchildren, alongside a network of family that includes his sister, Melissa Helton; brother, Mark Roberts (Donna); brother-in-law, Paul Collins (Kelly); sister-in-law, Debra Burton; brother-in-law, Dennis Collins (Marci); mother-in-law, Ann Collins; and a number of aunts and uncles, including Scottie and Clare Charles and Connie and Jack Stone. He is also remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews: Larry, Brittany, Mike, Nathan, Katlyn, Dolton, Brandon, Tyler, Katie, Dylan, Derek, Danielle, Troy, Rachel, Tanner, Leslie, John, Mark, Melissa, Krissy, and Keegan, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
While the loss of Charles Dwayne Setty is profoundly felt, his legacy of love, laughter, and family will continue to resonate through all those who were fortunate to know him. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
A Celebration of Life for Dwayne will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Northridge Freewill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 4800 Payne Avenue, in Dayton.
