Charles Edward "Whitey" Kerg, age 87, of Dayton, passed away on October 26, 2020. He was born in New Carlisle, Ohio, on June 13, 1933, the son of the late George and Ella Kerg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kelly Lynn Hall; granddaughter, Stacie Coey; brothers, Bob Kerg and George Kerg; sister, Vivian Osborne; and his best friend, Werner Storost.
Whitey is survived by his dear son, Keith (Diane) Kerg; grandchildren, Brian Kerg, Sarah Kerg and James Coey; great grandchildren, Kaylie, Ryley and Gabbriella; Kasey Kerg; friend, Lori Wright; sister, Patricia (the late Bill) Garrison; and many other loving family and friends.
He retired from K & D Trucking after 32 years. Whitey then went on to work with his best friend, Werner, for over 20 years in his woodworking business. In his free time, he loved to play the lottery on a daily basis and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He was always the first one to lend a hand to anyone, he was truly a great man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Services will be held by the family at a later date.
