Charles "Charlie" K. Young

Charles "Charlie" K. Young, age 74 of Dayton, Ohio passed on September 26, 2026. He was born September 10, 1952 in Millersville, Maryland. The son of the late Kenneth Young and Eleanora (Darmon) Miller.

Charlie was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. After graduation, Charlie entered into the Military, where he retired after 17 years as a proud United States Navy Veteran. His pride and joy was his family and spending as much time with them that he could. Anyone that knew Charlie, would know that he loved a good beer, cigarette, and his crossword puzzles. He was an avid sports fan, always cheering on his 49ers. Charlie will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his sons, James Young and Charles A. Young; brother -in-law, Albert Watkins.

Charlie is survived by his children, Kenny (Ellen) Young and Ana Young; grandchildren, Karissa (Scott), Kysondra (Andrew), Kayla (Derick), Kalie (Nick), Alissa, Aaniyah, and Alana; great grandchildren, Dylann, Jaxtyn, Arya, Bellamy, Bella, Alex, Emmett, Elliot, Emma, Ellie, Ollie, Sylas, and one on the way; mothers of his children, Suzette Reed and Nancy Young; siblings, Luke (Terri) Miller and Bonnie Watkins; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 10am to 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A memorial service will begin at 11am also at Funeral Home with burial to follow at Dayton National Cemetery at 1pm.
