Charles E. Caperton

Charles E. Caperton, age 74 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 28, 1951 at Clark Air Force Base, California the son of Berlin and Myrtie Caperton.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carroll Caperton.

Charles is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mari; children, Stephanie Zhybaj, Shane (Heather) Ballance and Justin Ballance; grandchildren, Tyler, Courtney, Ashton, Elaina, Hadlee and Addison; great granddaughter, Marleigh; siblings, Doris Caperton and James Caperton; nephew, Joshua (Jana) Caperton; great nephew, Cole Caperton; mother-in-law, Mary Henderson and many other loving family members and friends.

Charles worked as a dedicated Photo Journalist for Dayton Daily and Greene County Daily for 26 years and loved every minute of it. He was a baptized and dedicated servant of Jehovah with The Kingdom Hall on Woodman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Kingdom Hall in Charles' memory.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at The Kingdom Hall (2580 Woodman Dr, Dayton, OH 45420).
