Charlene J. Wegelin

Charlene Jean Wegelin, age 87 of Tipp City, passed away February 16, 2017. She was born August 24, 1929 in Erie, PA to the late Ivan Alexander and Gladys Long. In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Carter Wegelin; brother, Robert Ivan Alexander; and sister-in-law, Dorothy "Bunny" Alexander.

Charlene is survived by her daughters: Deborah (John) Cimino, Cheryl (David) Hussong and Tali (Keith) Gregory; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: John and Mary Wegelin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Charlene was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Shiloh Chapter # 153, Erie, PA. She was an avid crafter who always had to have busy hands.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where a memorial service will begin at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charlene's memory to Hospice of the Miami Valley. Charlene's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Hospice of the Miami Valley and to her niece, Charlynn Woody for the loving care that they gave to their mother.
