Charity Vann

Charity Vann, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on October 21, 2026, in Dayton. She was born on January 10, 1974, in Dayton, a city that remained part of her story throughout her life.

Charity will be remembered as a woman of warmth, spirit, and unmistakable personality. Everybody was family to her, and she loved everybody. She was always involved and was often the light of the party, bringing energy and heart wherever she went. Extremely artistic, feisty, and diligent in everything she accomplished, Charity lived with enthusiasm and authenticity. She loved everything spooky, adored Halloween most of all, and also had a soft spot for Christmas. She loved the beach, enjoyed attending concerts, listening to music, and going to horror conventions. In both work and life, she embraced what brought her joy; she did what she loved and loved what she did.

Professionally, Charity worked as a Director of Property Management for Equity Team. Her dedication to her work reflected the same commitment and drive that shaped the rest of her life.

Above all, Charity treasured the people she loved. She is survived by her children, Courtney (Blake), Jay (Christy), Destanie (Tyler), and Brennen, and by her grandchildren, Nora, Caleb, Aidan, Jax, Cayden, Payton, Michael, and Walker. She is also survived by her beloved, Jeff; her aunt, Darlene; her brothers, Rodney and Kevin; and her mother, Donna. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on in each of them.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Gwyn; her sister, Missy; her aunt, Janet; her grandmother, Mami; and her grandfather, Milas. Their memories remained part of her life and are now joined with hers in lasting remembrance.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 p.m. along with burial at Dayton Memorial Park, 8135 N Dixie Dr, Dayton, Ohio 45414.

Charity Vann will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her vibrant spirit, her fierce heart, and the way she made people feel like they belonged. Her memory will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew and loved her.
