Celia Ann Elam

Celia Ann Elam, age 72 of New Carlisle, passed away October 20, 2020. She was born September 20, 1948 in Leatherwood, Kentucky to the late Denver and Nancy (Cornett) Smith. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brothers: Lester, Forester, Pearl and Howard; and sister, Lona.
Ann is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gary Elam; daughter, Tonya Elam; son, Mike (Corey) Elam; 5 grandchildren: Taylor (Tyler) Rigsby, Anthony Wood, Kara Horn, Michael Elam Jr., and Keaton Elam; 2 great-grandchildren: Jordyn and Quinn; and one on the way. Ann is also survived by her sisters: Irene (Jessie) Centers and Pauline Deraway; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her beloved dog, Belle.
Ann graduated from Cumberland High School in 1967. She was a wonderful, giving woman - always giving to others, but expected nothing in return. Ann was an amazing mamaw who loved her grandchildren with all of her heart.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm. To share a memory of Ann or leave a special message for her family, please visit the guestbook below.
