Catherine J. Smith

Catherine Smith entered this life on July 23, 147, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late James Sr. and Hattie (Bell) Patillo, and passed away peacefully on June 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She attended school in Little Rock, Arkansas, and graduated from Dunbar High School, and later attended Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio. She worked as a Government Acquisition Supply Technician, Department of Defense Secretary, and Procurement Technician for the U.S. Civil Service for a span of over 40 years. She was always devoted to family, church, God, and the Word of God.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her 3 sisters, Mary Patillo, Lucille Cooley, and Helen Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Eugene Smith, children Clifton, Curtis and Christine Smith; grandson, Marcus Eugene Smith; brother, James (Pam) Patillo, and a host of relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow the service at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton.
