Catherine C. "Kay" Green (McKibben), age 83, of Waynesville, passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2026. She was born January 9, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Orlando, Florida. Kay was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Elizabeth McKibben; brother, Jim McKibben; and husband, Ted Green.
Kay is survived by her sons: David Panson (Lisa) and Robin Stadler; grandchildren: David Panson (Samantha), Christopherlee Smith and N. Lewis Smith (Teaa); great-grandchildren, Penelope, Carson, Brently, Raelynn, and Ava; brothers, Bob McKibben (Joquita) and Ed McKibben (Elizabeth); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kay worked for M.K. Moore and retired from there after 25 years of service as the office manager / accountant. Kay was an avid stained glass artist and created many beautiful pieces for her family and friends. She loved spending time with her family and her pets. Kay enjoyed sitting on her front porch, where she would watch the hummingbirds. She never met a stranger, loved putting a smile on everyone's faces, was crazy about chocolate and horses. She enjoyed dancing and would often say, "sometimes you just have to dance" and "don't sweat the small stuff."
Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Kay's family would like to give a special thank you to Ohio's Hospice for their loving care and support. Contributions may be made in Kay's memory to Ohio's Hospice or Wild Again Sanctuary.
