Carolyn Elaine Pierce, affectionately known to many as "Tootie," passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 28, 1941, in Worthington, Kentucky, Carolyn lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.
A proud graduate of West Carrollton High School, Class of 1959, Carolyn embarked on a fulfilling career with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company, where she served faithfully as a telephone operator before retiring. Her professional life reflected her friendly and endearing spirit, traits that endeared her to colleagues and customers alike.
Carolyn was a woman of many interests and passions. She found joy in shopping, volunteering, and most notably in caring for others as a dedicated caretaker. Her love for travel enriched her life and those of her family, with cherished memories of family vacations that brought generations closer together. Those who knew her remember her for her loving heart, her gentle humor, and the genuine friendliness she showed to all.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Calvin and Edna Mae Pence; her son, Jeff Pierce; and her siblings, Connie Spradlin, Paula Lykins, Geri Littrell, Phyllis Secoy, and Donna Greenstein.
Carolyn leaves behind a devoted daughter, Shelly (Keith) Robinson; seven grandchildren—Josh (Jillian) Robinson, Danielle (Mike) Vanskoyck, Ashley (Rusty) Lovell, Kearstin (Mitch) Johnson, Dairien (Jacob) Young, Jacob (Amy) Robinson, and Leah (Mark) Ochsenhirt—and twelve great-grandchildren, alongside numerous other family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence and the warmth she brought into their lives.
Carolyn’s legacy is one of loving kindness and enduring friendships, a testament to a life well lived. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her.
