Carolyn S. Orr, (maiden name: Gray), was born on July 11, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and passed away on September 13, 2026, in Hamilton, Ohio, surrounded by the love of her family. She is now reunited with her late husband, Leonard "Tommy", the love of her life, and with her beloved granddaughter Ashley, along with many other cherished relatives who went before her.

Carolyn lived a life marked by strength, devotion, and deep compassion. She was strong-willed, bold, determined, loving, caring, and hardworking. A caregiver by nature, she was always willing to step in for anyone in need, helping to lighten the load for others in ways both great and small. Her proudest accomplishment was her family, to whom she was deeply devoted and in whom she took tremendous pride.

Her work ethic began early. At just 14 years old, Carolyn started working at Miller's Drive In as a car hop, beginning a lifetime defined by dedication and perseverance. She later built a long career with Chrysler Automotive, where she served loyally until her retirement in 2012. Her steady commitment and hardworking spirit were evident in every season of her life.

Beyond her work, Carolyn found joy in music, family, and the simple pleasures that made life rich. She was an incredible singer and shared that gift as part of the family singing group Zion's Voice. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Florida with her husband and family. She also loved crosswords, thrifting and crocheting, pursuits that reflected both her creativity and her eye for life’s small treasures.

Above all, Carolyn will be remembered for the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind her children, Valarie Orr, and Darren Orr and his wife Michelle, Kimberly Bowman and her husband Ronald Bowman,. She also leaves her grandchildren Lyndsi Fitzsimmons and her husband James, Ronald Bowman Jr., Brooke Bowman and Isaiah McIntosh, Chelsea Dyson and her husband Stephen, Devon Orr, and Calyn Orr. Her legacy continues in her great-grandchildren Caleb, Thomas, Gus, Leona, Hazel, Gatlin, Rayleigh, and Charlotte, and great-great-grandson, Crue. She is also lovingly remembered by her special niece Rhonda Weihrauch, her special nephews Chris Orr, Brian Orr, and Del Gray, as well as her lifelong best friend Theresa Gray-Petit. She is also survived by many other beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends

She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard "Tommy" Orr; her son, Jeffrey Aaron; her granddaughter Ashley Lanigan; her parents, William and Hannah Gray; her sisters Jewel Orr, Ella Mae Burns, and Vanda Burns; and her brothers William Gray Jr., Lee Gray, Terry Gray, and Lester Gray.
