LANDIS (McGarvey), Carolyn M., age 72, born August 11, 1938 in Donnelly, MN, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Daisy Roberts; son, Steven Landis, and step-son, John P. McGarvey.
Carolyn is survived by her long life partner and soul mate, Jack McGarvey; son, David (Amy) Landis; daughters, JoAnn Landis, Donna (Brian) McCarthy, Jackie (Jim) Leonard; grandchildren, Allen, Andrew, and Adam Landis, Allison (Andure) Wells, Ashley (David) Mendez, Kristen, Amber, Nicole, and Taylor McCarthy; great grandchildren, Alenah, Alexis, Adrienna, and Ari'al Wells. She worked for Montgomery Co. Children Education Services with handicapped children for 24 years.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Pulmonary Unit, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44195.
