Carole Ann Hamrock

Carole Hamrock, 67, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at Kettering Hospital surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with serious health-related issues.

Born on October 31, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio, Carole was the daughter of Frank and Charlotte Schlemann. She graduated from Meadowdale High School in 1977. Carole spent her life devoted to her family and friends.

Carole is survived by her loving husband, Gerry; her siblings Kathy Taxis and Barb Tankersley; her children, Josh (Kara) Hamrock and Lauren (Brian) Holzapfel; and her beloved granddaughter, Marley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Charlotte Schlemann and her siblings, Mike Schlemann and Connie Cox.

Carole will be remembered for her warmth, sense of humor, and the love she shared with those around her. Carole and her husband were members of St. Luke’s Parish. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds and UD Flyers fan. She enjoyed all sorts of games and puzzles, and the time spent doing them with family and friends. She touched many lives through her kindness and friendship and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Kettering Health for the compassionate care they provided.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Luke's Catholic Church (1440 N Fairfield Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Carole will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery's St. Kateri's Preserve following the Mass.
