Carol Louise Lovett, age 85, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at her home. She was born January 6, 1935 in Xenia, Ohio the daughter of the late Herman and Edna (Miller) Scroggy.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Wayne Elrod and daughter, Melodee Chace.
Carol is survived by her Daughter, Joyce (Pam Cowan) Elrod; grandchildren, Trey (Rachel), Joshua (Shawna) and Kimra (Dale Petry) Chace, Penny Woods; great-grandchildren, Ashley (Brent) Bauer, Skylar, Nevaeh, Emilee and Madison; Ethan, Isabella, Hunter, D.J. and Olivia; beloved pets, Lottie, Callie, Sophie and Zoey.
She previously worked for the FAA, VA Medical Center and retired from AT&T Government Solutions. Carol was actively involved at the Dayton Avenue Baptist Church. She was a talented pianist who traveled with the VFW who played for their conferences. Carol was a member COOTIES through the VFW, where she would volunteer her time visiting hospitals and nursing homes.
Private family services will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia, Ohio at a later date.
