Carol Ruth Holden

Carol Ruth Holden, born on March 14, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on February 6, 2026, in Fairborn, Ohio. She lived a life full of love and dedication to her family, leaving behind a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

She is survived by her children; Cynthia Reynolds, Cathy Castle, and Kenneth Castle; her grandchildren, Timothy Shepherd, Nichole Kelly, Tamara Castle, Kenneth Castle, and Angel Jett; and 14 great grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

For 17 years, Carol enjoyed the companionship of James "Buddy" Bell, whose presence brought her joy and comfort. Together, they shared many moments that enriched both their lives.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Carl and Ruth Hagedorn; her son, Steven Castle, who she adored; and her sister, Lois Hagedorn.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek.

Carol’s spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, who will carry her memory with them always. She will be missed dearly, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through everyone she touched.
