Carlos J. Wilbanks Sr.

Carlos J. Wilbanks Sr., age 68 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. He was born August 21, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Jessie and Bertha Wilbanks.

Carlos was a family man who loved to spend as much time with his family as he could. He enjoyed being a helpful hand and doing whatever he could to help those around him. He loved long car rides with no destination. Carlos loved to bring laughter and a smile to those around him. He was a teacher that taught, known as a "Bird Dog Supervisor". Carlos had a large personality and will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Carlos was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathaleen Wilbanks; son, Russell Wilbanks; brother, Arlos Wilbanks; sisters, Lenda Wilbanks and Alma McGuire;

Carlos is survived by his children, Carlos Wilbanks Jr. and Lisa Wilbanks; 6 grandchildren; brother, Jessie Wilbanks Jr.; untold amount of nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other close family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 1-2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 2pm also at the Funeral Home.
