Carlos Elias Hattab, age 67 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026 at his home in Virginia. He was born June 20, 1958 in Miziara, Lebanon the son of the late Elias and Warde Hattab.
Carlos came to the United States in 1979. He graduated from University of Dayton with a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. There he met the love of his life and he and Linda were married in November of 1979. They welcomed three beautiful children into their lives. Carlos worked for General Motors, Delphi and ultimately served as a Federal Civil Servant for the last 17 years. In his free time, he enjoyed completing home renovation, photography and technology as a whole. Carlos will be remembered for being a hard worker and a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jean Hattab, George Hattab and his sister Hinid Hattab.
Carlos is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda; children, John (Bree) Hattab, Wardeh Hattab and Nora (Nathan) Hattab; grandchildren, Isabella, Henry, CJ and Makari; siblings, Nazih (Violette) Hattab, Samir Hattab, Marcel (Norma) Hattab, Gina ( Youssef ) Faddoul and Marie Wehbe; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Ronald McDonald House in Carlos' honor.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). To watch the service live, please click here.
