Carl Ralph Merritt

Carl Ralph Merritt, age 70, of Dayton, passed away November 28, 2025. Carl was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 20, 1955 to Fuller and Mary Merritt.

Carl was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen O'Brien, Elaine Santana and Carolann Lucente.

He is survived by wife, Min Sun Merritt and his nephew, Phil Lucente.

Carl retired from General Motors.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and boating. Carl was the author of the award-winning sci-fi novel, "Fleet of Angels". This special project became a meaningful part of his life.

Visitation will be held from 9:00am-11:00am on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 11:00am.

Carl will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery following the service.
