Carl R. Hillgruber

Carl R. Hillgruber, age 83, of Xenia, passed away April 22, 2026. Carl was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 14, 1942 to the late Henry and Glenna Hillgruber.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gail Arnold; half-brother, Kenneth Lucas; as well as his half-sister, Julia Hillgruber.

He is survived by wife of 60 years, Donna Hillgruber; daughter, Lynn Bogan; half-brother, Richard Hillgruber of Valrico, Florida; as well as his grandchildren, Mallerie Randall, Brice Bogan and Laina Bogan.

Carl was co-owner of Twist Inc. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, spending time outdoors, fishing, bow-hunting and restoring vintage trucks.

Carl was smart, hard-working and a great friend. He will be deeply missed by his family.

Donations may be made in Carl's memory to the American Heart Association.

There will be a private family interment at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
