Carl William Alexander, Jr.

Carl “Junebug” or “Bug” William Alexander, Jr., a beloved son, father, and brother, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at the age of 67.

He was the firstborn son to Carl William Alexander, Sr. and Harriet Ellen Porter Alexander, and was born on May 19, 1958, in Indianapolis, IN. Carl grew up with a large, dynamic family of ten brothers and sisters who were all influential in his life. He is survived by his siblings Matthew Alexander, Joel Alexander, Steven Alexander, Carla Alexander, Deborah McCullough, and Lisa Alexander. Carl was preceded in death by his sisters Denise Alexander and Carol Alexander, and his brother Mark Alexander.

Carl is survived by his wife, Carole Alexander (Warren), with whom he shared over 30 years of marriage. Though they had been separated in recent years, their lives remained connected through the enduring bond of shared memories and their children, son Patrick Alexander and daughter Melinda Schiera. Their journey together stands as a testament to resilience in life.

He also leaves behind beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. All remember his unique character.

Carl had a great athletic ability, and played basketball in his youth. He managed his own commercial construction cleaning business for many years, and was known for his entrepreneurial spirit. Carl’s life story, filled with trials and tribulations alongside numerous adventures – including memorable encounters with famous musicians like his music idol Stevie Ray Vaughn – could easily fill a national bestseller. He lived by the philosophy of thinking outside the box and trusting one's courage to get things done.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. Carl's funeral will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time, please check below to view the livestream.
